Unwritten Etiquette Rules for Home Sellers ( What You Want To Know Wednesdays )

Our friends at Fox News have compiled a list of rules of etiquette to follow while selling your home. Your behavior can have quite an impact on how buyers perceive your home. These rules can help you make your home even more desirable!

Leave – Buyers may not feel as comfortable during a showing when you’re home.

Don’t leave your pets – Buyers may have allergies, or may not find animals as endearing as you might.

Move your car – Nobody likes parking issues. If a buyer has to park far away from the house they may just skip the showing altogether.

Lay out important documents – Information such as the home inspection report, appraisal, home warranty and proof of any major repairs are all excellent documents to have should any questions arise.

Don’t be greedy – An unwillingness to negotiate can ruin a possible deal.

Listen to the professionals – It is their job to sell your home; they can have valuable tips to keep the process moving.
